Since it's a Riot Grrrl magzine, I thought the name of the genre would be fitting as a name. The name Riot Grrrl would make it obvious genre of music the magazine featured. Some of the fanzines I have looked at share this title, proving it is a good one. Using the initialism 'RG' (for Riot Grrrl) could also be effective magazine name. The shorter name Riot could also be used.
I also thought, since Bikini Kill were very popular in my Audience Research Survey, I'd combine their infamous single with the genre. Their definitive single was named 'Rebel Girl' and I could combine that with the name of the genre, Riot Grrrl, to create 'Rebel Grrrl'. This is effective as it immediately conveys the genre my magazine will represent and combines is with a song by a band synonymous with the genre. I could shorten this down to produce the name 'Rebel'.
An infamous Riot Grrrl motto is 'WWJJD?' (What Would Joan Jett Do?), perhaps I could use this.
Bratmobile were also very popular in my survey, the title of their popular song 'Cool Schmool' as a name for my magazine. This title represents the punk, non-conformist mentality of those who enjoy the genre.
Warpaint are a popular, contemporary Riot Grrrl band. Using their band name would be suitable as a name as it shows the militarism and non-conformity of the Riot Grrrl movement.
The Runaways are often heralded as the mothers of Riot Grrrl. Therefore, either their bands name or a song title such as 'Cherry Bomb' would be an appropriate name.
Since bands fronted by the veteran Riot Grrrl: Kathleen Hanna were popular in my survey, like The Julie Ruin and Bikini Kill, I thought I could use the Le Tigre single (who were also fronted by Hanna) TKO. TKO is an initialism for technical knockout which, again, represents the Riot Grrrl militant, protest attitude.
